Well what a month July was! I don't even know where to begin with this news update! I guess I will leap right in!

July started out much the same as every month of the last year - on a shitty note. My INR went down the toilet ( way too low ) so my pain levels rose to the maximum and I was miserable. Now ( at the time of writing this ) they are finally starting to rebound and rise up - but of course at the cost of raising my dose of my blood thinners which of course means now I feel ill ( headache, sick tummy, dizzy, etc ).

July 25th was my dvt/hospital/wheelchair/life change anniversary and it was bitter sweet. Bitter due to the sadness, the loss, the frustration of losing the ability to do so many things that I love such as run! Bitter because it means I have now spent a solid YEAR flat on my back in bed due to my inability to sit up for more than an hour or two at a time. Bitter due to all the road blocks, frustrations and anger! Bitter of course due to loss of local/offline friends that no longer talk to me. The sweet comes in with me realizing that I am lucky to be alive - not just lucky to be alive but HAPPY to be alive. I have gotten back into art which is great :) I have a guitar now and am learning to play! I am determined to make new friends and have fun! My internet friends who have stood by me for 10 years are still here with me, supporting me, loving me... and I love them right back.

July saw me chasing a lot of people - I asked my MLA ( member of legislative assembly - look it up if you don't know what that is ) to help me get some assistance on finding a new place to live. I chased and chased and chased for a year on my own with no results, no help and no compassion. THE MINUTE my MLA stepped in on my behalf things happened - and they happened QUICKLY. Which is great - I wish I had gone to them a year ago!

Well now you are wondering what things happened? Good ;)

I am MOVING between August 29th and September 1st! Into a wheelchair adapted home! I blogged all about it in my regular blog so give it a read! I also put pictures up of the front yard and half of my back yard here. I will of course take pictures of the inside once I am in and all set up :) This move means so many great things for me and I expect that it will change my life drastically for the better. It means more independence, more mobility, more happiness AND Less danger, less frustration, less relying on my mom to help with everything ... and those are all great things. I am really excited!

My mailing address will change for some of you ( My close, personal friends will be given my physical address and phone number ). The rest of you will be able to continue to mail me at my post office box :) so no worries!

My internet services will HOPEFULLY go smoothly during the change over and I will just be down for the 28th/29th/30th/ maximum. My August/September website update should still be on schedule for the first but if you log in to the site and see no update, no worries just check back in a day or two and it should be up :) Hopefully a big one with some fun pictures but we will see what time allows - I might be too busy moving and setting up my new home for a big update.

ALSO - I will be getting a dog when I move :) It may not be for a month or two but it is in the plan! I will go to my local spca/humane society on the weekends until I find a little companion that I love. He/she will be a small dog - toy size... and I am excited to say the least to be getting a little buddy. I think it will impact my depression in a big way :D
