Hello! Weather here has been crazy - I hope it is better where you are! We have basically only had 12 days without rain in 2 months... and while that is nice it is nice to have sunshine too. When we DO have sunshine it is crazy hot - so it is pretty hard to pick which one is worse ;) I think I prefer the rain to be honest because otherwise I am just too darn hot. Either way mother nature is going to do what she wants and it appears this summer it is to cook me alive or drown me ;) I did get a really great storm shot you can see here though! I won't even MENTION how bad the mosquitoes are this year because it seems to be all anyone in Edmonton talks about these days - understandably so.

July was a busy month here! First of all we (my son and I) have done a lot of studying with the goal to catch him up on his education a bit to prepare him for grade 8. Sadly his education until now was not really a priority and it shows. He is very far behind in all of the core subjects. Hopefully with much effort we can get him caught up and then work hard during the school year. I have not had any me time this summer due to this, but hopefully next summer can be more relaxed.

We (Son, Mom and I) went to Fort Edmonton Park in July. It was far too hot and we got eaten alive by mosquitoes... I got horribly sunburned because though they claim to be wheelchair accessible most of the fort really isn't... but that is fine. Fun was had by all for the most part and we do plan to go back! I forgot my good camera (which REALLY pisses me off lol ) so all I had with me was my blackberry camera. I did fire off a few cute photos though and you can see them in the odds and ends gallery here.

We still have not gone to the amusement park as of yet - we will do that one day this month when we have time :) At least that is indoors and air conditioned and 100% accessible for me ;) yay! After that, summer is nearly at it's end! It went by far too fast.

Kismet is doing well - napping in his new kennel as I type this. Cute, silly, sweet, bratty and loving as per usual. How can one ball of fur have so many quality traits? ;) I had to give him a haircut (his armpits) because of matting. It looks bad but at least I got the mats out so he won't be hurting. I will need to keep a closer eye on his armpits from now on and make sure though he does not like it that they are brushed and checked for mats every couple of days :)

I enjoyed much of summer "off" from work as my boss was busy traveling. It was nice! Sadly the "Break" for me is soon over as well lol It's ok though... I still very much love my job so really my only complaint is getting up at 5 am during the school months but that really has nothing to do with my work, that is due to getting my son up and out the door for school :)
