Well hello there all you shiny, happy people! I hope this news update finds you all well :) Oh - do I sound chipper? Hmnnn maybe because I AM! hehehehe As I mentioned last month on my news blurb I got a new bird (( a Linnie whom I named Midori and have nicknamed chicken little and mooshoo )) who you can see here. He/she (( I am still waiting on the DNA sexing to know if it is male or female but I have been using "he / him" for ease)) is a little doll! He is jam packed full of personality, fun and intelligence. From speaking, to clowning around, to sassing me - he is one laugh after another. He brings a lot of joy to my life and I can not imagine not having him here! I look forward to many happy years with him :D

I also have made several new friends on some bird forums/websites which is always nice :D One in particular is super swanky and we have become buddies quite quickly. She has sent some goodies to make my bed rest more manageable, and to welcome my little linnie into my home. I don't know who was happier when the care package came, me or my bird- needless to say we were both pretty thrilled! I hope we will be friends for many years to come!

Speaking of old friends - recently a friend I thought was gone from my life forever got back in touch with me... after some crying on my part (( happy tears )) we have resumed talking... I missed her. Old friends getting in contact with you is always rad. Unless you hate them ;) but then are they really old friends? *snorts* AND NO this is not an invitation for all sorts of doors to my past to be opened - some of you I never want to see again. ;) fuckers! lol

I am officially OFF the medication that was making me violently ill and am still suffering withdrawals and negative issues from coming off it. I am not too thrilled to say the least and will be having a discussion with the doctor about all this crap in a few weeks. I also had my scary hospital day and it went better than expected. It was no picnic and it hurt a fair amount but they did good with the iv (( only took 2 tries and it didn't hurt )) which is good as usually (( over at the shitty hospital )) it takes 7 - 10 very painful blown veins before they can tap a vein. I went to the best hospital in the city for the day and I knew IMMEDIATELY that it was the best hospital in the city. Like night and day the differences between the two and how they treat their patients. From now on I will be making the 30 minute drive across the city to go to the GOOD hospital unless it is in an ambulance (( they will by default take me to the nearest hospital which is the shitty one - boo!!)) As an aside I also caught a cold in the hospital so am feeling pretty lousy over all.

My pressure sores are still not healed but after 2 months of bed rest I am up and at em so to speak. I sit in my chair all day but in a way that I am sitting on my hip rather than bum so they are still healing but I am not stuck laying down. I alternate between hip sitting and laying on the sofa. I can't wait till it heals, driving me nuts! lol

I will be looking for a new camera for real some time in June or July - my website suffers of dire boredom now that I do not have a decent cam with which to take new pictures with. I need to pay down a few bills first however before I rush out to buy a camera. It gives me time to really research and find out which one will work best for my needs. For now I am using moms which takes horrible, grainy pictures so please excuse the lack of quality in the mean time!

I would also like to remind you that I have two blogs -Though I did not blog much this month- My game blog here (where I review games and such ) and my normal blog here (where I blog about anything and everything that is not game related). I blog in both all month between updates (though I do have some quiet spells now and then) - so be sure to check them out often :) Also please feel free to comment - I know many of you are not yet used to my new blog system - you do NOT need an account to comment :) Give it a try! It will not post immediately - I need to approve your comment before it will show up.
