Summer is nearly here! FINALLY the Alberta weather is acting as it should! Temps have been crazy warm and we have been enjoying the hell out of it! Most of it anyway ;) Alberta has a nasty mosquito infestation that has most of us whimpering and scratching! Little buggers need to be sprayed but the city tries not to spray for them so I guess I will just have to bathe in deet.

My son has moved in with me (as of May 2nd) even though we agreed on July 4th - he moved in early which makes him and I happy - so that is good. Son has settled well into my home rhythms and is doing great. Kitty was a bit jealous at first but seems to be settled down now as well. I don't get enough money or sleep but that is pretty much the life of a parent so I am just taking it in a stride as best I can but lemme tell you folks - I am exhausted from lack of sleep! There are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done that I need to! Someone needs to invent something to rectify that!

I am working on some "summer fun" plans for me and the son - and grandma too! Perhaps a full day at the galaxy land amusement park on WEM. Maybe some time at the zoo... whatever we do - it will be cool! We also need to find a good spot to view the July 1st fireworks... pre gimpy days my favourite spot was the Legislature grounds but that is just too hard to do in the wheelchair so if you know of a prime spot where I won't have to roll across grass or up giant hills? Kismet has turned 1. Time flies far too fast! Just yesterday he was my itty bitty kitty and now he is my big boy! He spends much of his day laying on his window seat twitching and chittering at bugs that dare to land on or near his window ;) He would be a mighty hunter out in the wild... ok well maybe not but he likes to THINK he would be and I am ok with that. Kismet needs to work on his hiding though - or his Ninja skills as I like to call them.

I do apologize for being so slack in the blog and website updates as of late but I know you all understand. Most of you have been viewers of my site for a decade or so. Hopefully all the new people will find something worth sticking around for too :)

I would also like to remind you that I have TWO blogs (even though I don't always update them as much as I should ) My game blog here (where I review games and such but is not as active as my normal blog ) and my normal blog here(where I blog about anything and everything that is not game related). I blog in the normal blog all month between updates and the game blog when whim hits (though I do have some quiet spells now and then) - so be sure to check them out often :) Also please feel free to comment IN my blog comment area (rather than comment via email) - I know many of you are not yet used to my new blog system - you do NOT need an account to comment :) Give it a try!
