Hello! I know it has been MONTHS since I have done an update to my site and I apologize! I have no REAL reason as to why I let it lapse other than the fact I just didn't bother to put the effort forward to update. I guess every now and then a gal needs a break. I am back now though so let's get back on track!

First I will start off by saying what an EASY winter we have had here! There really was not any snow or cold ALL WINTER until just this week. Now it is bitterly fucking cold (40 degrees below freezing) BRRR but hopefully it will be short lived since winter is nearly over for the season! I know a lot of you are being hit with the same arctic cold snap I am so hang in there, bundle up and cuddle your loved ones!

I hope you have all had a nice Holiday season... Here in the Jayde house Christmas was lovely - moreso than usual and I didn't really get the holiday blues this year. My birthday was truly amazing, my girlfriend went out of her way to spoil me rotten and I loved every second of it. She whipped up a storm in my kitchen and not only melted my heart but impressed the hell out of Grandma and Kiddo with her chef skills ;) I was kind of surprised that Grandma and Kiddo didn't get into a fist fight over the leftovers ;) There were some threats I had to moderate ;) I wish you all the best in 2012 and hope that your dreams come true. Don't stop reaching for them!

My kid is doing pretty well... the changes in him since he moved in with me are nothing short of shocking. Sometimes I forget where he was when he moved in and how far he has come but I see it some days and am thankful that I am helping to shape him to be a better man. He loves living with me which is great - it's good to see him happy. He is still working on a few things that need to be corrected behavior wise but I am doing everything I can to help him get where he needs to be emotionally, behaviorally and mentally. On his good days he is a lovely kiddo to be around - we just need to continue to work on having more good than bad days. This month's words are initiative, effort and respect. Kiddo broke his arm on a fieldtrip in November which really sucked! It was a clean break and has healed nicely so he is ready to tear the world up again ;) He is growing like a weed and soon will be as tall as me and Grandma. Yikes!

Kismet is great! A bit of a cold is bugging him right now but a bit of l-Lysine and he will be right as rain soon enough! I am currently trying to locate a bigger litterbox for him as he is so LONG when he faces one direction in the litterbox he is SURE his ass is in the box but sadly it is not so he has had a few "misses" so to speak.

Now for Jayde news update - things are pretty fantastic in my life. First I will say my girlfriend is still around (yea, I know you all are wondering about that so what the fuck I will toss that out first lol) and wonderful. She treats me like a queen and is the most compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent woman I have ever known and loved. I never really believed in soul mates until I met her. We have had a few challenging times due to stress in our respective lives/worlds but over all I have never been so happy with a mate in my entire life. It's lovely. Kiddo and Kismet love her just as much as I do which makes life much easier. Our future looks bright and I can't wait to see what it brings!

I have gone back to school, so to speak! I am taking a correspondence English/writing course through a University on a scholarship. Pretty scary and exciting all at once. I have always wanted to go back to school but never really considered it seriously. I don't know how far I will go with this, maybe I will just take one course and stop or maybe just maybe I will apply for every scholarship out there and educate myself out the ass and get a degree! I think writing is a pretty good choice for me... maybe someday I will actually be a great writer ;)

My health is much the same - though I was a bad girl and skipped doing my INR tests for about a year. Yikes.... kind of silly but I got pretty tired of the whole circus. I am now testing my INR on a proper weekly basis again but I do it from home! I got a kit kind of like a diabetes kit where one can test from home. Sadly this was NOT covered by insurance and as such I had to save $600.00 to get the machine. Test strips for it will cost me $50.00 - $100.00 a month also which sucks hard core but at least I will be keeping my blood in proper ranges. I much prefer it to vein draws - we all know how many problems those lovely lab ladies had getting blood from my veins. Now it is just a stab in the finger and away I go!

Life in the Jayde house has been busy... Between kiddo, cat, love, school and work I have not had as much time to sit and blog or game - or update my site ;) - I will work on getting back on track and may even have a surprise for you regarding the website in the future. Most of you recall Tink... we might have something in the works but I guess you will have to keep an eye here to see what it is!

I guess that is it for this month's update, a bit of a big one as I had a few months to cover.

I would also like to remind you that I have TWO blogs (even though I don't always update them as much as I should ) My game blog here (where I review games and such but is not as active as my normal blog ) and my normal blog here (where I blog about anything and everything that is not game related). I blog in the normal blog all month between updates and the game blog when whim hits (though I do have some quiet spells now and then) - so be sure to check them out often :) Also please feel free to comment IN my blog comment area (rather than comment via email) - I know many of you are not yet used to my new blog system - you do NOT need an account to comment :) Give it a try!
