Well the cold weather has moved in here in Alberta - in fact it was rather sudden. We have already had frost and it is not even the first day of fall yet! I guess the forecast of a much colder and longer winter than normal this year might very well be accurate!

I am still feeling pretty lousy health wise but not as bad as last month and even had time to shoot a few new pictures of the parrot :) (( you can see her eating her yummy corn for breakfast here. With the cold weather moving in, I have been trying to keep her warm without making it so hot in here I see heat waves in the air LOL It seems however that without me dying, she just is not warm enough. I have invested in a heated perch (( had to send for it from the USA as no one in Canada carries it! Yikes! It was not cheap either. )) that should be here any day now, I imagine she will love it. For now I have a heating pad clipped to the back of her cage that pushes a bit of warmth into her cage for her. She is still very hormonal and not very "friendly" right now but we are doing ok :)

For those looking for my parrot toy section, it will be up near the end of October, I simply have not had the time to get that set up on the site yet... stay tuned however, it will be up soon. Check back on my news page for links to that at the end of October/beginning of November! Thanks to all who have shown interest in our toys!

I haven't updated my blogs much at all the last two months, I need to get back to that. I read things or hear things I make notes to blog about but then I feel so cruddy that it just never happens and by the time I feel ok to blog it, it is no longer fresh news so I don't bother LOL

I would also like to remind you that I have TWO blogs. My game blog here (where I review games and such but is not as active as my normal blog ) and my normal blog here (where I blog about anything and everything that is not game related). I blog in the normal blog all month between updates and the game blog when whim hits (though I do have some quiet spells now and then) - so be sure to check them out often :) Also please feel free to comment IN my blog comment area (rather than comment via email) - I know many of you are not yet used to my new blog system - you do NOT need an account to comment :) Give it a try! It will not post immediately - I need to approve your comment before it will show up.
